World MasterCard Toronto Fashion Week F/W14

As expected, World MasterCard Fashion Week F/W14 was nothing short of amazing. Upon arrival Monday evening to David Pecaut Square we were greeted by street style photographers, media, fellow bloggers and the brutal Canadian winter; which to no surprise did not intimidate anyone from sporting fabulous spring trends. You could feel the eagerness in the tent as we all waited patiently for the incredibly talented line up that was scheduled for the evening, not to mention the rest of the week.
Aside from the camaraderie that occurs, Fashion week is a celebration of our Canadian designers, their talent, their visions, and most of all their creations brought to life. We were blown away by the collections and would have to say if there was any down fall of Fashion week it would have to be the anticipation we now have for the arrival of the Fall/Winter season. We think it’s safe to say we speak on the behalf of everyone who participated in WMCFW. From Vawk to Soia & Kyo and right down to the closing show by Matthew Gallagher, my Fall/Winter wardrobe is now in process; thank you for the inspiration!!
Needless to say, as eager as we were to see what the designers were introducing on the runway, we were equally thrilled to see the different elements individuals incorporated into their personal street style. Just like every other season street style was on point and inspirational so we can’t forget to give credit to our fellow bloggers, celebrities, TV personalities and socialites that also attended fashion week in style.
Collections varied from soft hues, pastels, dark tones with leather works, the use of many prints and textures, while embracing feminine silhouettes, urban street wear and adding a punk flare. With that said, the Fall/Winter collections offered a bit of everything catering to all individuals.
It was a pleasure and honor to take part in Fashion Week, to hear the initial reactions, the crowds expressions and to see the gawking eyes and smart phones snapping all over the room every time a jaw dropping piece would hit the runway, it was a marvelous experience and we can’t wait for October!
Below we leave you a few of our favorite pieces from the week!
